Arcadem Pro has two theme systems.  Theres the legacy system which was used from Arcadem 1.0 up until Arcadem Pro 2.708, which is depreciated and no longer recommend for use (but has been kept for compatibilities sake) and then theres the Smarty templates system in Arcadem Pro 2.709-RC1 which will be used in all foreseeable future versions.

Notes on Thumbnails

Here’s some technical information about thumbnails. This information is applicable to Arcadem LE 2.x and Arcadem Pro 2.0 to 2.6. Arcadem Pro 2.7 and above still supports these details, but there will be a new thumbnail system implemented in 2.7 and above that will support large thumbnails.

This feature was originally planned to be rolled out in Arcadem Pro 2.7, but was brought forward due to the performance hit the additional features in Arcadem Pro 2.50 presented. The cache system was significantly revised in Arcadem Pro 2.700 and 2.709-RC1.
