Arcadem Pro 2.7 Milestone 4 will be complete soon, which implements a completely new theme system that you may be familiar with: Smarty templates.  Don’t worry, all previous themes will still work, however using the new Smarty theme system has several advantages.  In addition, Milestone 4 marks the first Release Canidate for the 2.8 Stable series.  In this brief blog post, I’ll tell you what to expect as a result of both the new template system, as well as the change of status to a Release Canidate.

Users who purchased Arcadem Pro (or any other Agares Media product) through our store before February 2008 or who at anytime purchased the script directly from me at the DigitalPoint forums (username: jquindlen) are still eligible to receive upgrades up to and including Arcadem Pro 2.9 (latest release as of this writing is 2.705.)

In order to receive updates, it’s necessary that you’re entered in to the system. Once you’re in the new system, you’ll be able to download your programs at anytime, and automatically receive the latest updates. All you need to do to get into the new system is leave a comment below with the following information:

1. The PayPal address you used to pay for the script
2. A list of scripts you purchased from us
3. Your AgaresMedia.com username.  If you do not have one, please register on that site first and then post your comment here, including your username.  An AgaresMedia.com username is required.

Just a heads up that the next release of Arcadem Pro 2.7, dubbed Milestone 2, will allow webmasters to stream and/or download MochiAds games from their new games streaming service.  This means arcade webmasters will be able to add new games automatically, as well as make additional revenue through MochiAds.  Arcadem Pro 2.7 Milestone 2 is expected to be released on June 5, 2008.

Arcadem Pro 2.7 supports importing and converting the following game pack types directly through the admin panel:

• Arcadem Pro 2.7+
• Arcadem Pro 2.62 & lower
• GameSiteScript
• AV Arcade 3.x
• Php Arcade Script (old)
• Php Arcade Script (newer)

In addition, you can also use high score games made for:

• IbProArcade 2.x format
• IbProArcade 3.x format

As a result, almost all flash games and game packs are available for Arcadem Pro 2.7.
