SEO

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” search results for targeted keywords. You can get more information about SEO in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization

That means SEO is a way to make people come to your site, and in our case, to play more games. Arcadem Pro 2.8 provides some SEO related menus to help you in improving your site traffic.

SE Friendly URLS

There are two options in the window that will be opened when you click this menu. This menu will open SEO Settings window where you can set Search Engine Friendly URLs setting as enabled or disabled and also set the path to Arcadem.

Edit Meta Tags

Meta tags are HTML or XHTML elements used to provide structured metadata about a web page. Metadata is “data about data”, of any sort in any media. An item of metadata may describe an individual datum, or content item, or a collection of data including multiple content items and hierarchical levels.

When you click this menu, a window titled Edit Meta Tags will be opened. This window is the place where you can change your site’s title and meta tags directly, or set them up to automatically be generated based on each page’s content.

Sitemaps

A site map (or sitemap) is a representation of the architecture of a web site. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

This menu will open Sitemaps window where you can change sitemap settings and/or recreate the site map. We recommend enabling the site maps to make the search engine find your pages easier.

Link Exchange

A link exchange (also known as a banner exchange) is a confederation of websites that operates similarly to a web ring. Webmasters register their web sites with a central organization, that runs the exchange, and in turn receive from the exchange HTML code which they insert into their web pages. In a link exchange the HTML code causes the display of banner advertisements, for the sites of other members of the exchange, on the member web sites, and webmasters have to create such banner advertisements for their own web sites.

Arcadem Pro 2.8 provides this menu to help you in using the link exchange solutions. This menu will open the Link Exchange window which contains three tabs:

New Link Requests

Here you can find the new link request that need to be approved.

Manage Approved Links

You can managed all of you approved links from this menu.

Settings

Here you can set your link anchor text and the target URL.

Edit robots.txt

The robot exclusion standard, also known as the Robots Exclusion Protocol or robots.txt protocol, is a convention to prevent cooperating web spiders and other web robots from accessing all or part of a website which is otherwise publicly viewable. Robots are often used by search engines to categorize and archive web sites, or by webmasters to proofread source code. The standard complements Sitemaps, a robot inclusion standard for websites.

Arcadem Pro 2.8 also provides this menu where you can easily updates you robots.txt. This menu will open the Edit robots.txt window where you can update it. If you want to check and test your robots.txt, you can access Google Webmaster Tools on http://www.google.com/webmasters/start
